Kasia, I started taking bcps continuously and am almost halfway thru my second pack. Once it hit around the time my period was supposed to come I began to experience bloating too. Last week, my legs felt like lead, my arms feel like they are retaining water and even my fingers feel this way. I normally can get this bloated feeling before getting my period but without getting it, it hasn't really gone away. Some days I think it has finally stopped but the next I would feel the same discomfort again. I contacted my dr. and he told me to drink tea. I find that I sweat like crazy after drinking a couple of cups and I get some relief sometimes. I'm also drinking a lot more water and walking helps. My doctor said that if the tea didn't help he would give me a water pill. So far, bcps are helping me. I used to get terrible bladder pressure and experience what I thought was incontinence and I haven't gotten it since starting. For the first time since I was fourteen,(I'm 38 now) I didn't have to worry about whether my period cramps would prevent me from leaving the house!
