Hi. I wanted to reply that I am also in Canada and will be having a marsupialization of a Bartholin's cyst at the end of November. In researching this online, I also found that there were no local anasth./in-office procedures available here. I will be going to a hospital in Toronto to have it done under general anaesthesia. I've had this cyst for 10+years and it has grown from about the size of a pea to the size of a ping pong ball. It has never been infected but has been bothering me in the last month or so. Altho it sounds huge, it is mostly inside, but I find intercourse irritates it and it causes me pain, hence my upcoming surgery after having the cyst for so long.

won't be touched. I've never heard of the different incision you've described but will ask my Gyn about it. My Gyn has delivered both my children, I've been a patient of his for 15 years - he rocks! I've researched it thoroughly and am confident the outcome will be successful (altho I've read all the negative stuff you have as well.)

Let me know if you're interested in my post-op care/experience (even tho yours will be unique to you, it may help to know how mine went), I'd be happy to let you know. Needless to say, I won't be worried about scarring... lol!
