Hi, I am taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen and I am a Sunday start and normally during the week of Placebos my period begins on Tuesday and ends on Friday. However, next week when I am due to be on Placebos I have an important event I have to attend on Thursday and Friday and I would rather have my period finished by Thursday. Rather than trying to skip my period entirely as some people do by continuing with active pills, I would like to not take this Saturday's pill in hopes of causing my period to start a day early (on Monday) so it would be finished on Thursday. If I decide to do this will this in any way increase my chances of getting pregnant and will it mess up my Sunday start date or my next cycle, since in essence I will have 8 days on placebos instead of 7 days. And if I decide to do this, should I still start the first week of active pills of my next pack the following sunday as I normally would?
