[Birth Control] how is it still effective? From: angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 12 Nov 2001 10:01:55 -0600 (CST)
Hello. I don't understand exactly how the pill works - if one can choose to have their period at any time by simply skipping that week of pills, and still be protected during that time... how is it that by skipping 2 pills (accidentally), you're NOT protected? Shouldn't this mean that during the week where you're not taking active pills, you're not protected? I'm on ortho cyclen, and I just want to make sure I know when I'm safe! Thank you for the info! -Angie
