As a little background, I'm 27 years old and mildly obese. I was recently dx with PCOS. Was put on Met 1500mg/day about 2 1/2 months ago. Each month I have ovulated, (my BBT charts are text-book), but my luteal phase is only 11 days. (I start spotting on 11 dpo and 1st day of actual flow immediately follows). My questions are: 1) Is an 11 day luteal phase long enough to sustain a pregnancy, considering I start spotting on day 11? If not, would natural progesterone cream help that? 2) If I'm responding well to Met and ovulating each month, how long would I be able to stay on Met alone before having to introduce Clomid or other meds? (I'd prefer not to use Clomid if possible). thanks so much for any answers or opinions you might offer. sincerely, ashly
