This question has been answered many times on this forum and the others. You will find the answer in the archives.

The short answer is it is best to wait one full cycle of pills (one pack) to ensure it is effective for birth control. Use a back up method of contraception during the first month.

You are taking the pills to keep from getting pregnant. Not worth the risk of only waiting one week.
