[Birth Control] MircetteFrom: Lynn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 7 Nov 2001 01:33:07 -0600 (CST)
I am currently on Mircette and have been for about a year. I've heard that birth control pills are supposed to curb your PMS symptoms. It has slowed down my bleeding but it seems the PMS has gotten worse then it ever was. It seems I get crampy and sore breast like 2 1/2 weeks before I am due for my period and 3 days into it as well. I am bipolar and the gyno I saw told me it's because of my bipolar that I am predisposed to getting PMS and cramps. Is this possible, or is this just a side effect of the birth control? I had cramps before the birth control but the PMS didn't seem as bad. Thanks for your help.
