[Birth Control] BC Start DayFrom: Lanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 3 Nov 2001 19:48:23 -0600 (CST)
I was prescribed ortho tri and I do not know if I want (or should be) a Start on Sunday or a Day 1 start. I am reading the pamplet and I do not understand if there is a difference between them as to the likelyhood of pregnancy depending on the start date. Is it correct that with the Sunday Start that you can possibly get pregnant in week 1(after period), or is that just while taking the 1st packet? The 1st day start info says that I do not need backup BC during the month if you take your pills correctly starting on the day of your period. I understand that no matter what that I have to use another BC method until the 1st complete pack is finished. But what about the following months? Can you explain simply for me? This pamphlet is really confusing me. I am in a 2 yr relationship hoping to stop using condoms. Thanks.
