[Birth Control] getting off depo-proveraFrom: Leandra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 02 Nov 2001 15:16:15 -0600
Hello my name is Leandra and i just found your web site. I stoped taking depo-provera almost 22 months ago my last injection was Feb.22 2000. I had no signs of starting my period up until last month i started my period on OCT 17, 2001 it lasted like a regular period for 2 days and then for two-three days its was very light. Before i started taking depo my periods were very regular. I was on the shot for about alittle over a year. I have a couple of questions
1.) Am i fertile now that i started my period on my own?
2.)How long will it take me to get pregnant? (me and my husband are trying to get pregnant)
I have already went to my ob doctor and he did a pap and blood test every thing came back normal.
I seen him a week before i started my period if i would not have started on my own he was going to give me provera and start me on clomid.
He seemed to think i would be pregnant this month. I go back to take a pregnancy test on NOV 14. If i am not pregnant he wants me to go on clomid.
Should i wait and see if i can do it on my own or try clomid? (keep in mind i have been off the depo for 22 months)
I looked every where for any answers. PLEASE any information would be great.
Thanks a bunch,
Leandra from kentucky
