So sorry to have to ask this...today I had a regular bowel movement, and a majority of the stool was the regular brown color, however in portions of it..there was bright orangish/reddish parts, that also appeared on the toilet paper..I've gone over my diet the last few days and nothing comes to mind that would cause this color...I don't think it's blood, as there was no mucous and it contained more orange than red, but am wondering if it's normal to have an orange/red stool? Should I consult my doctor, or chalk it up to normalcy? Thanks for answering such a personal question!
