Update: Appointment with urogyn!From: Connie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 31 Oct 2001 17:36:30 -0600 (CST)
Hi All: Well the urogyn said that she doesn't think surgical intervention is in order at this point....which is ok with me since I really didn't want to do anything anyway. But, it is hard to believe that I have to "live with it" as she said. She said that the prolapse wasn't significant enough to do the surgery yet. She said that posteriorly everything was ok, but anteriorly it was down into the vaginal area, that is why I feel the bulge and the pressure again, she said "live with it". The exam really hurt..she said because she was trying to get the bladder to stay up..but it wouldn't...dah!!! So, she kept on pushing! It hurt really bad! She apologized and said that if I could bear with her, she had to keep pushing.ouch! Anyway, bottom line is...I am in a tremendous amount of pain (vaginally and in my pelvic area). As for my pain, she said I am a "chronic pain patient".....live with it!! So, I guess, I should just quit searching for an answer and live this way..it will be hard, but I guess I'll have to get used to it. Thanks so much for listening!
