I have posted before about my period being 9 days late with severe cramping for 4 days before it actually started. I went to the dr on the 9th day it was late and had started spotting by then. I had blood work done and I was told that I had a high testosterone level and that my FSH showed I was in mid-cycle. Is this right considering I was in day 38?? My ultrasound showed that I have a follicular cyst on my rt ovary but that I also had one in the exact same area 2 years ago. 4 years ago I had my tubes tied with a c-section. I do remember the dr talking about scarring and asking if I had had surgery in that area before. I am kind of confused because my dr said the only thing she could do for me right now is put me on bcp but that she really should not since I have high blood pressure and I smoke. She said the only way to be sure if there is much else going on is by "opening me up" Would a transvaginal ultrasound have been better?? My dr was looking for PCOS and endometriosis at the time of the testing. I have alot of sypmtoms of PCOS but so far she does not want to say that is what it is since I only seem to have the one cyst.
