Metro gel questionFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Oct 2001 20:00:55 -0600 (CST)
Long story short: 6 weeks post vag hyst, kept ovaries. Thought I had yeast infection...mostly burning, some itching, white discharge. 3 doses of diflucan did not help and discharge changed to thin and yellowish and had low grade temp of 100.4. Saw on call doc who said bacterial infection of vaginal cuff and started on metrogel vaginally and flagyl orally. After first night of using metro gel, discharge now has thick white clumps in it. I also have seen a few stitches mixed in the clumps which doesn't worry me too much. Temp is now normal. Is this white clumpy stuff normal or is it a sign of a yeast infection from the anitbiotic? Thanks
