[Birth Control] recurrent yeast infectionsFrom: Sasha (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 24 Oct 2001 21:20:26 -0500 (CDT)
I have been experiencing recurrent yeast infections for as long as I can remember. I've been treated for them in many different ways, including the Diflucan pills, taked as a double dose. ( I also eat yoghurt every day:) I am still experiencing the yeast infection. I wanted to know if changing my birth control method (I am currently on Triphasil) to a lower ethinyl oestradiol level pill (my doctor suggested Alesse) will help the matter. I have been on Triphasil for about seven years and am nervous about the change, but I am also ready to try anything that might help me get rid of the yeast infections. What other effects might the change of pill have? Will Alesse, as a one hormonal level pill, make me more prone to depression or feeling 'blah'? Thank you very much for your help, it's greatly appreciated.
