I have the same concern! I am 29 and have been on the pill for years, with a totally normal 28-day cycle. However, before I was on the pill, and on the few occassions when I have gone off it for a few months, my periods come approx. every 18 days and are very light, as described by Joy above. I want to get pregant now, and worry that I may have difficulties because of my natural menstrual schedule. Incidentally, my mom (age 55) just had a hysterectomy for a fibroid cyst the size of a grapefruit; her mother (my grandmother) and her mother (my great-grandmother) had the same when they were in their 40s. None of them had trouble conceiving or maintaining a pregnancy, but they all had children when they were much younger than I am. Any advice?
