Buspar is a catagory B medication in pregnancy but generally considered unsafe in nursing and should not be used, per the package insert. In fact, medicolegally speaking there are probably no antianxity medications are will be 'approved' for breastfeeding. You may have to make a choice between using a drug off label or stopping breastfeeding. You should definitly discuss this one-on-one with an obstetrician.
