I was on Zovia 28 day from the end of October 2000 until end of April 2001, so about 6 months. Before going on the Zovia my periods were very heavy and dr. said I had fibroids during my yearly. (dr. suggested the pill to control bleeding) Pap was normal. I had break through bleeding once during the 6 months. I went off of the Zovia due to insurance running out. Once off the pill my periods were earlier than normal but not a problem. Then in September instead of a "normal" period I only slightly spotted twice. Pregnancy test ruled out pregnancy, blood test. Now in October I again only slightly spotted. Dr. put me on Medroxyprogest 10 mg. for 10 days. I am on day 7 of that. And she said to expect a herendous period. As soon as I am done bleeding I will go back on Zovia. Then I will go in for my yearly exam (always in Oct.)I have had pain on both sides of my abdomen and sometimes during a bowel movement or with gas I have pain in my lower abdomen. My lower back is in pain and I feel so tired all the time. If I over extend my body or turn to fast at the waist in a weird position I have extreme pain on one side or the other I guess near where my ovaries are. I have always had very normal 28 day periods, with cramping only during ovulation. I have had 4 normal pregnancies in the last 13 years. 1988,1990,1994 and 2000. I am 33 years old, over weight but not obease. Do you know what could be wrong with me? I am scared. I cannot talk to my normal doc she is out on maternity leave! Thank you for taking the time to help me.
