3rd surgery for dysplasia concerns

I am 30 yrs old & had a tubal ligation the next day after delivery of my second child in March '98. Since the tubal, I have had horrible cramping, erratic cycles, and unusually long periods, all of this the complete opposite of my menstrual history. I have had 2 surgeries for dysplasia: 1st at 18, and again at 19 yrs old. I was not put to sleep( I think) during either of these procedures and remember a rancid burning smell, but I can't recall what type of surgery I had. Laser? My great concern is I have been bleeding practically straight thru since July 18th, maybe with 1-3 days off every 3-4 weeks or so. Most of the time the blood has been black with occasional clots and sharp cramping. AND I have been on the pill for 3 months straight w/o taking the placebos to stop the bleeding(Yasmin). Back in March, my pap & consequent biopsy showed I needed the surgery a 3rd time. With HMO changes, red tape, yada-yada, I am now scheduled finally on October 25th for LEEP. I am, also, an FMS/MPS Complex & arthritis sufferer. Under the care of my rheumy, I am taking Percs, Kadian, Soma, and Buspar. My meds have not changed in the last year, so I don't think that has any relevance (except the Kadian started in July). Could you give me an opinion as to if I should be concerned about the continual "black days"? It worries me because my maternal grandmother died at 48 of ovarian cancer and my mother had a complete hysterectomy at 45 because of mentrual problems & the concern of future cancer. Thank you, Tracey
