The answer is - antibiotics, some more than others, may, although
theoretically, interfere with hormone absorption. This has been
described based upon theory but in practicality, this doesn't appear to
a biga problem. We warn patients about this possible complication and
to use other forms of birth control while on antibiotics - before we
knew about this, I didn't see one failure due to this.
