I've experienced the hot flashes, uncontrollable mood swings, vaginal dryness, breast tenderness, and no period for over a year. My doctor has done several tests to see if I'm going through menopause, and stated that these all came back negative. I'm concerned because of the hormone issue and the fact that osteoporosis is genetically inherent in my family. My maternal grandmother died of complications due to this, my mother and her three sisters all have it, and I'm concerned that I too may get it. Is there anything that I can do for this? To add another part to this, I've experienced a 44 lb weight gain in the past 2 years. I've yo-yo'd back and forth 10 lbs of weight, but not been able to take this off. The circulation in my left leg in compromised by this due to severe venous thrombosis caused by c-section deliveries. Because of the leg, and other health issues I'm on a strict physical exercise regimen of 6 days a week 45 min aerobics/weight training, and walking 2 miles a day. With this regimen, I've only been able to take off completely the 10 lbs. I've still 34 lbs to go, and they don't seem to be inclined to leave.

Regarding the weight, my doctor stated that he feels I've put on muscle mass and that this could be masking the actual fat loss that I'm seeking. All I know is the scale doesn't see it, and I'm concerned about the extra weight and my being able to have a healthy life. Please let me know if there is something that I can do. Thank You.
