The patch is not yet on the market in the US.

Methods that don't require you to remember to do something every day or every time you have sex include tubal ligation, vasectomy, injections, and the IUD. All of them involve having something inside you except vasectomy.

Methods that you use only when you have sex include the condom, diaphragm, and cervical cap. All of them should be used with spermicide.

Methods that require some daily act include the pill and natural family planning.
