HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) is really a family of viruses(about 200 strains now I think) that causes genital warts and cervical dysplasia and cancer.

Herpes Virus comes in Type I and Type II. It used to be that one caused cold sores and the other caused genital Herpes. Now either one can cause either.

HPV is NOT related to Herpes.
