vaginal scarringFrom: Laura (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Sep 2001 19:41:58 -0500 (CDT)
I am 4 weeks status post a TVH with an anterior/posterior colporraphy. There were no complications until a week ago when I went to the doctor complaining of mild vaginal pain and increased greenish discharge with an odor. The doctor told me that there was scar tissue forming and it was connecting the anterior portion of my vagina to the posterior portion. She broke up the scar tissue, put me on Premarin cream and antibiotics and told me I have to come back every week for a recheck. I am concerned about this as I did not know it would be one of the risks involved in this surgery. Should I look for additional treatment on this matter or is this the standard treatment? Should I be concerned about painful intercourse? Thank you. Any information you can give me would be appreciated.
-- Thank you.
