cyst or adhesions? Kelly Shanahan, MD, : "Re: cyst or adhesions?" I had surgery to remove excessive scar tissue and three cysts (4cm, 3cm & 2.2cm) around my ovary and bladder about 7 months ago. These adhesions had formed following an abdominal hysterectomy. (Why I formed the cysts following my hysterectomy I have no idea!) I've been having more pain and my doctor said that my bladder feels extremely "full" and it is either due to more adhesions or another ovarian cyst - or both. (I only have my right ovary.) If my current problem is due to more adhesions and not a cyst, would it do me any good to have the scar tissue removed this time? The discomfort I'm having now is annoying and sometimes painful, but I'm afraid that it could be even worse the next time around!
