Lower left painFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 28 Sep 2001 18:45:57 -0500 (CDT)
I am 30 years old an I have been diagnosed with a fibroid tumor in my uterus, a large cyst on my right ovary (the size is "i think" the Dr. said 4 with 5 being high risk)and a complex cyst on my left ovary which has a hard mass in it (what it is=unknown). I am currently waiting for another ultra sound to be performed (the Dr. wants more detail). When I explained my symptoms to the Dr. she thought it might be more than just what has been diagnosed. she thought my colon may be playing a role in some of my pain. I have been experiencing LLQ pain. it started eight months ago and has only been getting worse. I first went to the Dr. because I was experiencing spotting, dizziness, fatique, and a feeling of low blood sugar. I was diagnosed with anemia and the latter listed. But my LLQ has been getting worse. the pain has gotten so that I cannot exercise anymore. In addition, after I have been on my feet for awhile my lower stomach enlarges. during extreme conditions my left side is bigger than my right. I also have a tremendous amount of pressure and tenderness in the LLQ (at time it can feel a burning sensation and sharp pain). Extreme air has also been a problem. At times I can go for days without ever having a bow movementor it will be the extream opposite. The doctor suggested this could be pulype. thanks for your help
-- Is anyone familiar with my symptoms? I am less worried about my colon and more worried about my ovary (because I want to have children). Either way, I want this pain to stop. Should I pushed the issue for colonoscopy or should I wait for my current situation to get under control? Do my symptoms fit with my female problems or does it sound like the colon? I just dont want to wait 4 months and it is something other than my female problems. I want my old life back. These symptoms are controlling the activity level and I am scared to eat (because it make it worse).
