Which is bestFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Sep 2001 16:45:46 -0500 (CDT)
They (obgyn and endo) diagnosed me as having hypothalamic ammenoria. I've had this post-pill ammenorhea for a year now. I'm 24 yrs old and want to have a regular cycle again like I did before I used the pill for three years. They suggesting medroxy-progesterone every other month. Will this prod my body to regulate itself on it's own without the medroxy-progesterone? I don't want to have to rely on the progesterone every time I want a period. WHICH IS BEST: A) Waiting for my body to find it's natural cycle again? (Until I want to concieve...which will be a year from now) B) Keep prodding my body with medroxy-progesterone as per my obgyn's suggestion? (I just want to make sure that it's not encouraging my body to become dependant on the medroxy to induce periods).
