Can long time use of birth control cause other problem in the female reproduction system? Birth control is used to treat my PCOS, i was just wondering if it cause other problems with my health. I have used birth control since i wa 12 years-old because of problems with my reproductive system. I am now 26 years-old. Could it affect my body in away to make it become dependent on birth control pills to be able to menstrate? I am just curious to know what other kind of choices i might have besides using birth control. I mean it can't work forever right? My pills have been changed five times in just the last year and one month. Any info is appreciated. Thank you.
