Progesterone(high or Low) has no relationship to the symptoms you describe.

After a hysterectomy, it is dificult to tell by US or pelvic exam which ovary it is. In order to know one has to be able to tell which side the ovary's blood vessels come from. IOW, I wouldn't put any credence on which side it is on. The surgeon who removed it is mosre likely to be correct than any other thing done.

I have never heard >of such a thing. Also I discovered that my ovary is now another dermoid

Dermoids are a subset of the group of ovarian tumors known as Benign cystic teratomas. These tend to recur in the other ovary about 15 % fo the time. Most people usually shell the tumor out of the ovary and leave the ovary in place unless there is a good reason not to.

Are there any other options to removing this ovary or do I need >to get it removed also?

I am unaware of any inherited predisposition.
