CIN III after laser cone biopsyFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netTue, 25 Sep 2001 19:39:57 -0500 (CDT)
I had my first abnormal pap in Feb. with CIN III/CIS. I had a laser cone biopsy in March and I was told I would be fine and the the margins were negative. I had my first follow pap in July. Those pap results did not come back until end of August, it came back as moderate dysplasia and the colposcopy and pinch biopsy came back as CIN III. How is this possible, I did not have any sexual relations since I found out, do not smoke, I exercise and take vitamins. My doctor was surprised herself and she that it can happen. She wanted to do another laser cone but I really lost my faith in her and therefore switched to another doctor, a gyn oncologist. He wants to do a leep procedure. I am very confused and don't understand and want to know did it come back because my first doctor did not remove all of it in the first place? Is it normal to come back after a laser cone? Now how does this effect my chances of becoming pregnant in the future?
