At my 1st dr's appointment the embryo measured 5 weeks 2 days(2+weeks off from my period due date)and seemed to have a misshapen sac, and also implanted very low in my uterus. I went back this past week for a second ultra sound to see a great fetal heart beat and fetal pole but the dr said the sac is very misshapen. I have to go for a level 2 ultra sound in another week to see if we can see somemore. Meanwhile my dr has put off all 1st appointment blood work as she doesnt seem to be overly optimistic about this pregnancy. My question is what exactly does a misshapen sac mean for the pregnancy, and beyond that for the baby? I have looked all over for infomation on a misshapen sac and have found nothing. Please help me.
