Dr. Braun-one more dosage of Levaquin but not sure it killed all the infection-now what?

Good evening Dr. Braun,

I hope you are well. I have a situation that I'm not sure what to do about.

My dr put me on Levaquin 500 mg once a day for 7 days but I'm not sure if it killed all of the infection b/c I'm still having some rawness on the inside and white discharge. We are still waiting for the culture that she did last week to come back. It might be back next week, but I can't be for sure on that yet.

If I do still have an infection going on even though I've been on the Levaquin for 7 days what will be the next thing that my dr does?

I think that she's thinking that the next step maybe IV antibiotics like I had to do last year when I had 4 infections in a row. But I don't know that for sure as we are waiting for that culture to come back.

Thanks for your time,

===== Kristy :)
