[Birth Control] I've really messed up my pills....From: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 11 Sep 2001 18:55:29 -0500 (CDT)
I've been taking Ortho-TriCyclen for nearly a year with no troubles. But I had a major memory lapse and realized today (Tuesday) that I haven't taken a pill since Saturday. So I missed days 17, 18, 19. I remembered today (day 20) and found the instructions, but still messed it up and took 2 pills today (as given in the instructions if you miss during week 1 or 2). Part of my confusion is that I'm not really a day 1 or Sunday start. I normally start my new pill pack on Friday (long story how that happened). So I'm thinking I'm supposed to take 1 pill til Friday, then start the new pack (which I don't even have - thought I had another week to get it in the mail!!) What do I do? Am I protected from pregnancy? How long into the new pill pack til I'm protected? Thanks, A
