Sexually Transmitted DiseasesFrom: Teresa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 10 Sep 2001 18:45:55 -0500 (CDT)
Within the first three months of a monogamous relationship I tested negative for chlamydia, but was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. Two months later I was diagnosed with Chlamydia while in the same monogamous relationship. We were both treated and my Chlamydia retest was negative. A year later I tested positive for Chlamydia again while in the same monogamous relationship. My partner was also tested, but his result was negative. We both were treated again. Also at this time my PAP came back with abnormalities. My doctor thinks it could be dysplasia from HPV. Are there any connections between false positives for a chlamydia screening and dysplasia that may be from the HPV virus? Can other STDs cause dysplasia? Are there any symptoms of either HPV or dysplasia even though that is uncommon?
