Although there are probably rare exceptions, most cases of dysplasia likely take years to progress to cancer. However, patients with HIV or leukemia probably need treatment sooner, since they are immunocompromised. If a relative waited 6 weeks to have a LEEP procedure for moderate dysplasia I would not be too concerned. Good luck with everything. DAH
