Montgomery, MD: "Re: [Birth Control] is there a pill that helps with painful long periods" I previously asked about mircette but maybe i should have just asked in general if there is a bc pill that aids in shortening periods? i have painful long periods, and i frequently get false stops, in other words its seems that it is gone and then it is back heavier, sometimes it will happens 2 or 3 times, making the cycle 7 days. i get harsh painful cramps several days before the bleeding starts and lasting thru the first day of it (I am on Ortho Tri-Cyclen) and recently i have added depression to the mix, it seems that i cry at everything (not all the time, just in spurts, some longer than others, even in the first weeks of the cycle) I also suffer from headaches though they are the least of my worries.
