Lack of Libido/Ability to achieve orgasmFrom: Cee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 16:04:43 -0500 (CDT)
Hi! Same mom here who's going on 38 and has 3 kids, and suspects some degree of cystocele/rectocele. (thank you to the informative doctors who answered my questions!!!) Of great concern, also, is the fact that I seem to have lost my libido, at a time when women are supposedly coming into their own, as far as sexuality goes (your 30's, so they say). It's gone consistently downhill ever since the birth of my first daughter, 7 years ago. It's not that I don't *want* to have sex... there's no repressed anger or resentment... I'm not overly tired or stressed or "touched out" by the end of the day. In fact, some times I *almost* feel like initiating, it's just that the feeling comes from my head, not my groin, if you know what I mean. What further makes me suspect that something's wrong with my hormones or body chemistry (and not with my relationship) is that I no longer feel the slightest desire to masturbate. I used to do that almost every evening when DH wasn't in the mood. I just can't seem to climax any more, even by my own skilled hand. <blush!> I've always thought it was just in my head and that I'd get over it... but it's not getting better. If anything it's getting worse! I just can't get excited about the idea of sex -- nd I *want* to. Any idea what's wrong, or how to fix it?
-- Cee
