infertilityFrom: melissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 08:40:08 -0500 (CDT)
I had an ovarian cyist rupture about 2 years ago and had to under go emergency surgery due to internal bleeding. The doctor who did the surgery said it would not effect my fertility. However, we have been trying to concieve for a year and a half, using all the recommended aids to concieve. And have yet to become pregnant. I have a 6 year old son and had no problems concieving before. I also am concerned with the way he sewed me up. He didn't lay the muscle flat before the stiches. I know have this deformed looking buldge on my right side and look like I am 4-5 months pregnant. I am concerned about my bodily appearance and also, the ability to get pregnant. I am concidering a lawsuit, but I first want to have some medical tests to be certain that this is the problem. I am just unsure where to begin, what tests to ask for, and how they will be able to determine for certain that this surgery could be the cause for infertility. Can you help direct my next step. Who do I go see and what do I ask for? Could the surgery be a relating factor??
-- Thank you, Melissa in Texas
