I am 34 yr old with pcos. I have had one ovary removed due to a large tumor (benign)5 years ago. My periods are very irregular and my remaning overy is polycystic. About a month ago I started having pain in the area of my left ovary. I went to my primary doctor who did an internal and said she the ovary felt very inlarged and sent me for an ultrasound. The tech was unable to do a vaginal ultrasound because she said she kept hitting something and that my bladder seemed to be filled. This seemed odd since I had just emptied my bladder 5 minutes earlier. I was told two weeks later that my ultrasound was unremarkable. The pain was also improved by then, however I did continue to feel preasure. About a week ago I suddenly felt a severe stabbing pain that lasted briefly. I have had a few jabs of this pain since then and preasure. Incidently, I am also on an antibiotic for a UTI, but this pain is nothing like the bladder spasms and over to the left where I belive my ovary is. Until Last night I wasn't too concerned with all of this. However, Last night I stood up from sitting and got the worst sharpest stabbing pain, that doubled me over and literly caused me to scream out. The only time I ever felt anything like that is when I had a huge tumor five years ago that cuased my overy to torsion. I continue to feel preasure today. could the ultrasound of less then a month ago missed something or is it safe to assume this pain is not from my ovary? Sorry this is so long.

thanks mj
