ammenorea, breastfeeding, and getting pregnantFrom: Laurie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Aug 2001 14:53:52 -0500 (CDT)
I was running up to 40 miles a week and eating very little fat. I was also on birth control pills for 5 years. Two years ago I went off the pill. I was still running and did not get my period. I quit running and three months later got pregnant (I still had not had a period). I had a wonderful pregnancy. I have a 5 month old and man ready to get pregnant again. I am breastfeeding and wish to continue. Is there anything I can take to help me ovulate while I'm breastfeeding? Since I'm not running and eat very healthfully now (including fat), do you think I will have trouble getting my period and ovulating given my history? Thanks for your help.
