Too long to wait?From: Jill (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Aug 2001 11:06:34 -0500 (CDT)
I have had a cyst on my right ovary since June (diagnosed by ultra sound) but I am sure that it has been there since at least March. It has grown to 9cmx6.6cm (fluid and debris filled, not solid to my knowledge). My doctor has scheduled laproscopy for me on the 21st of September... 1. Is this too long to wait in your opinion? 2. It has grow approx. 1.5cm in 2.5 months...is this substantial growth? 3. Can I have surgery when I have my period? 4. Can I have surgery while taking the BCP? 5. What is the success rate for a lap with this size fluid cyst? 6. My doctor isn't board certified. Should I be concerned? Thank You for your time. Warm Regards,
-- JSG
