Trying to ConceiveFrom: Debbie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Aug 2001 08:14:10 -0500 (CDT)
My husband and I conceived our son on our second month of trying. He was stillborn at 26 weeks due to a severe form of dwarfism for which both my husband and I carry a gene for. We have been trying to get pregnant again for the last several months and it has not happened yet. My doctor said he thinks it is stress and that it will happen. How many months should we try before seeking testing? I am 31 and I read that if you are in your 30's or if you have been pregnant before, it is six months of trying. Also, a friend of mine told me she got a prescription years ago for a drug that makes your egg live longer. I have never heard of this and before I ask my doctor about it, I would like to try to find out if it even exists. Thanks for your help.
