Hi Sue! I think it's great that you are teaching your daughter about being a woman. I know it must be hard on you because that's your little girl :) but I want to applaud you. I wish that my mom had done the same thing. I started also when I was 13 and in school to make matters worse for me lol. As for when she'll start having her periods, I can't help ya there. Personally, I started deveoloping breasts in the 4-5th grade(also started growing pubic hair about the same time). By the time I was in 6th grade I was a C, but I didnt get my period until 7th grade. I want to say that I really admire you for wanted to educate your daughter. Everything I learned about my body and reproduction was in school and honestly it was too late for me. Here is a web site about a mother asking the same question you did about her 10 1/2 yr old daugher : http://www.bluesuitmom.com/health/pediatrician/tampons.html Here are some more pages that I thought you might find helpful in your quest : http://parentingteens.about.com/library/weekly/aa021798.htm http://womenshealth.about.com/library/weekly/aa033199.htm I hope this helps you some. Take Care and God Bless, AJ
