Cyndi, Hiya. I also have endometriosis. GI problems are common among women with endo. I also have GERD and IBS. I also have pain around my ribs and back with swelling that has been there since Nov of last year. So far, there has been no diagnosis for the rib pain. You may want to get an us of your gallbladder just to make sure that is not the cause of this pain. It could be. I had mine removed in Feb and the pain and swelling went away for 2 weeks and I got it back. I too went to a Gastroenterologist and he could find no other problems with me. I have had three drs tell me that they think my prob is related to the endo,and right now that seems to be the only explanation for me. But as I said, she if you can get an ultrasound of your right rib to see if it is your gallbladder because having gallstones or a "sick" gallbladder will cause intense pain. As for the cyst, you definately need to go back to your gyn and find the problem for this. If you have to have a lap, ask him to check the area that has been hurting (rib). I'm not sure if you are aware, but there are many support groups for endo, there is a forum on this site EndoForum. There are many wonderful women there that will support you and answer your questions. Have you tried any treatments for your endo?? Removal? Provera? Lupron?? Or anything else. There are treatments out there and one of them may help you. Unfortunately there is no cure for endo, but maybe you can find a treatment that will help you. I have a list of sites on endometriosis that may answer some of your questions. I feel that we should educate ourselves about this awful disease.
