[Birth Control] Alesse vs. Yasmin

I have been on Alesse for 13 months now. After about 6 months on Alesse I developed Hormonal Cystic Acne. I also tend to get my period during the last week of the active pills and no period during the sugar pills. I am currently on Accutane to try and correct my skin.

I have heard Yasmin is good on hormonal acne and am interested in changing in order to be able to maintain clear skin after my course of Accutane (I heard if you have hormonal acne, Accutane only works for a short while after you finish taking the pills).

Alesse has not cause me to be depressed like ortho-tri-cyclen nor has it caused any other noticable side effects. Is Yasmin also a "low dose" pill? Are the levels of hormones somewhat similar to Alesse? I heard it is less likely to cause depression than other pills, is this true? And finally, do you recommend I try Yasmin?

Thank you.
