**Diarhhea and yeast infections***From: Kari (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 22 Aug 2001 10:13:37 -0500 (CDT)
I am experiencing some strange things..for a few years I have been experiencing diarhhea...It seems always after a large meal...especially after eating out....I have read some were that diarhhea with no cramps is very serious and should be looked at..I rarely ever get cramping..I really just the urge and I have to go at that time..there's not much room for holding it!!! I spoke to my Doctor and she believes it could be the food that I eat..maybe an allergy or maybe IBS...I sometimes take Imodium and that seems to help..But I am starting to get concerned that there could be something wrong..especially after reading that it could be serious with no cramping...I have no blood in stool and sometimes watery or little mucas...Doesn't happen everyday but a couple times a week(I tend to eat out alot and that's when it happens most!!) I also notice that the more I stress it the more severe it gets... ***I have been diagnosed with PCOS for several years..as an FYI**** Also...I am currently on LO/Ovral and just started Paxil(10MG)..been on the BCP since Oct. 2000 and Since Jan. Of this year I have been experiencing yeast infections...these things are very persistant..Was prescribed Diflucan/did not really seem to help....the OC creams are pretty much useless for me..just make a mess...I find the best thing is the boric acid suppositories....I am insulin resistant...What could be the cause and why am I having infections month after month...normally around my period(a week or two) and they are very hard to treat......could itr be BCP, insulin resistance or something else...Have been diagnosed by dr that I have yeastinfection...
