[Birth Control] Pre-menopause prenancyFrom: Lesley (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 21 Aug 2001 16:11:58 -0500 (CDT)
I am 48 years old, and had a vaginal scan yesterday day showing a baby with hb at 6w4d. (A natural and unexpected occurence!) Hcg monitoring shows an increase from 9,000 to 29,658 over the last 10 days. Progesterone was initially 35, then dropped to 25 and 20, but went up day after scan to 33.7 again. Is there anything that can help me maintain this pregnancy - so far my dr has prescribed follic acid (500mg daily), and said that progesterone levels worry people unnecessarily.
