Tranxene is a slow acting benzodiazepine, like Valium, and has the risks inherent in other central nervous system depressants. I cannot find a mention of heart racing and palpitations in the PDR, nor any other cardiac issues. I would be far more concerned about the potential drowsiness, and the dependency potential.
