I have a question about Tranxene. My OB put me on it due to severe stress ( I have a handicap 3 1/3 year old who is Autistic with many medical problems) ...anyways, to make a long story short I am terrified to try it. I am afraid I am going to drop over with something wrong with my heart or something. I am not much of a medication taker (obvious huh??). I even had a hard time taking an antibiotic for a UTI. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. I know this medication is a benzodiazapene (spelled wrong), and with long term use can be habit forming, but when I read the information sheet (I know, sometimes to much info is NOT a good thing), it talked about all those side effects including racing heart and palpatations. I do have mitral valve prolapse. What exactly should I be concerned with?
