In response to Robin, I just found out that my second pap came back with abnormalaties today which came via one of those great calls from someone who works at the office and knows how to deliver the bad news and schedule the next appointment but not answer any of your questions. I must say I have a great OB/GYN and she is very helpful and easy to talk to but I have to wait an eternity to get in to see her. It has been about 7 months since my first abnormal pap and I am just now getting the results from my second pap and will wait another two weeks before the colpo. I am sure things will be fine, I would just appreciate being a little more informed while doing all this waiting. From the little bit of reading I have done today this does seem to be a common problem among women in our age group.
