For the past 3 days, I have been experiencing a feeling of uterine heaviness and sudden sharp, stabbing, cervical pains when I stand. Sometimes, the pain runs like a knife blade across my lower abdomen. When I lie down they go away. Should I be worried? Could this be signs of early dialation of the cervix or is it just growing pains? I have had 3 previous pregnancies - all of which were normal and without incident - but, this pain is new for me.
